Kirkland Police investigate early morning pharmacy burglary; Suspects arrested in Redmond

The Kirkland Police Department (KPD) is investigating an early morning burglary at the Rose Hill Walgreens. At approximately 3:30 a.m. on September 24, 2015, three male suspects between the ages of 16 to 19 entered the Rose Hill Walgreens located at 12405 NE 85th Street, Kirkland, WA.  Two suspects approached the pharmacy area in the back of the store while the third suspect made a purchase at the front counter.  This suspect then exited the store, got into a vehicle and waited near the front door.  The two suspects still in the store hopped the pharmacy counter and attempted to steal narcotics but were interrupted by the Pharmacist.

All of the suspects left the store and were last seen leaving the area in a vehicle on 124th Avenue NE.  Kirkland PD Officers arrived on scene and quickly broadcast the suspect(s) and vehicle descriptions.  City of Redmond Police Department Patrol Officers quickly located the suspect vehicle as it drove into their city on Redmond Way.  Working together, Redmond and Kirkland Patrol Officers took the three suspects into custody on charges of Burglary and Theft.  They are currently being held at the Kirkland Police Department.  A fourth suspect fled from the vehicle on foot and is still outstanding.

At this time it is believed that this group is responsible for committing several pharmacy robberies along the Interstate 5 (I-5) corridor.  Neighboring agencies are working with the Kirkland Investigations Unit on this investigation.
