The annual football game between Lake Washington High School and Juanita High School will be played at 7 o'clock Friday at Lake Washington.
This is the first KingCo Conference game for both teams and each squad enters with a 1-1 non-conference record.
Adult tickets are $7 and student tickets for Juanita students and other students in middle or elementary schools are $5. Pre-school children with a paying adult are free. Fans 65 and older also are admitted free.
The LWHS dance team, which won 3A state championships in two categories last spring, will perform at halftime.
According to LW football historian Bruce Bennett (Class of 1960), Juanita has a six-game winning streak against the Kangs and has taken a 22-19 overall lead in the series. LW has an 11-9 record against the Rebels in games played on the Kangaroos' field.
Bennett notes that the Kangs and Rebels met every year for 36 years from 1972-2007 but didn't play in 2008 and 2009. The series resumed in 2010.
