On Wednesday afternoon, a female pedestrian in her mid 20’s was crossing Lake Street with a friend and two dogs when she was struck by a motorcyclist.  The female was knocked into a stopped north bound vehicle at the crosswalk before landing on the street.  She lost several teeth and has a concussion and road abrasions, but fortunately, she was released from Evergreen Hospital last night.  Her friend was barely struck by the motorcycle tire and was not injured.

Unfortunately, it looks like one of the dogs accompanying the female may be paralyzed. The breed of the dog is not known at this time. The motorcycle rider, a 20 year old male, was arrested for reckless driving and possible vehicular assault charges.  He was booked and released from the Kirkland jail last night.
