City to host commuter stations at Marina Park pavilion, Cross Kirkland Corridor/6th Street

Cascade Bicycle Club has declared May as Bike to Work Month and on May 15, 2015, bicyclists throughout the regional will rally early in the morning for Bike to Work Day.  The City of Kirkland is hosting two commuter stations from 6 to 9 a.m.: Marina Park pavilion (25 Lakeshore Plaza Drive) and on the Cross Kirkland Corridor at 6th Street. Food and beverages provided by Centric Consulting (Redmond) and Revel Consulting (Kirkland), bike mechanics compliments of Kirkland Bicycle and music will be at both stations.  Kirkland employers and community groups are encouraged to participate as a team building exercise, as a way to encourage physical activity, and as a reminder of the environmental benefits of bicycling.  For more about Bike to Work Day (sponsored by F5), go to www.cascade.org.
