When disaster strikes, calling 911 will not likely bring you any help. You will need to depend on your own preparedness and the assistance of your neighbors to survive the first few days. Do you know your neighbors? Do you know who has medical or building skills? Who has a chain saw or knows how to deal with a gas leak?
The Kirkland Office of Emergency Management is offering a Map Your Neighborhood facilitator training on Saturday, May 9 from 10 AM to noon at Fire Station 22 (6602 108th Ave NE, Kirkland). You will learn everything you need to know to organize your neighborhood. All materials are included.
