Kirkland Teacher Honored as Elementary Teacher of the Week!


On Thursday, April 2nd, 2015 at 11:00am, STAR 101.5 SURPRISED Mark Twain Elementary School teacher, Mrs. Jenny Maver, and presented her with the STAR 101.5 Elementary Teacher of the Week award.  In a local contest conducted by STAR 101.5 radio, Mrs. Maver, a kindergarten teacher, was nominated by her student, Evan McKinney.  STAR 101.5’s Marina Rockinger from the Kent & Alan Morning Show, made a SURPRISE visit to Mrs. Maver’s Mark Twain Elementary School classroom in Kirkland, (9525 130th Avenue NE, Kirkland, WA 98033).
 
Each student received a goody bag full of prizes from McDonald’s, Dairy Farmers of Washington, KOMO 4, and STAR 101.5!  Jenny Maver received a personalized plaque from Trophies2Go and a $100 check.  Plus, Mrs. Maver got a makeover courtesy of Blanc N’ Schwartz Salon in Kent.
