On the past sunny Saturday afternoon, Chainline Brewing Company's trailside taproom opened its doors for the first time to many long-waiting fans. Upon entering Chainline, one was welcomed by smiling and efficient staff as well as beer aficionados, neighbors, bike riders, a few kids and the occasional dog or two. Unlike most places that serve alcohol in WA State, the law permits breweries to welcome families. Dogs are permitted because Chainline does not serve food, rather food trucks, pizza delivery and such are available.
With warm sun reflecting off the orange walls inside, a constant flow of customers filled the brewery throughout the opening day. Additional seating on the deck facing the Cross Kirkland Corridor was quickly filled. Customers were seen leaving Chainline with T-shirts and growlers in hand and smiles on their faces.
Brews on tap included the Hardtail Pale Ale, Recumbent Red Ale, Big Wheel Session Brown and Trail Gnome India Pale Ale.
Welcome Chainline! We are glad you're here. Friendly advice for the future: make sure the food trucks parked outside are well-stocked. They're going to need it!
