Arrowood Condo fire renders Kirkland mother, two kids homeless

Friends and neighbors of a single Kirkland Mom and her two young children have mounted a fundraising and awareness campaign after the March 14th Kirkland Arrowood Condo Fire  which displaced the family and nine other building residents.

The fire, which remains under investigation, spread quickly and allowed those residents who were home to only escape with the clothes on their back at around 7:30 pm the night of the fire.  The damage from fire, water and smoke is extensive.

Aisha, her 12 your old daughter and 14 year old autistic son are now staying temporarily with long time family friends in the Kirkland Upper Finn Hill neighborhood of Kirkland. They were offered accommodations in a Bothell hotel, but based on her son’s condition they cannot live in unfamiliar surroundings or come in contact with strangers regularly.  The kids are within walking distance to the school the four children living at the residence jointly attend.

The family is in need of cash donations as a link above to bridge the gap until the renters insurance, employment and other stabilizing forces can take hold.
