About Harmony Weihs and designHARMONY
A Pacific Northwest Native, Harmony Weihs found a passion for design at a young age. Weihs attended the Art Institute of Seattle in apparel design and worked within the corporate apparel industry for well over a decade. Wanting to be more connected with the end products and people she was designing for, she launched the Kirkland based company designHARMONY in 2006 designing for apparel while transitioning to interiors.
Weihs is self-taught in the interior design industry, and by 2010 she was solely designing interior spaces full-time. designHARMONY has grown into one of the leading firms in the Seattle area as a boutique firm specializing in top to bottom, full room design, remodels and project management. Incorporating both reclaimed and custom design elements is extremely important to Weihs in order to create character and add soul to each space. Weihs is passionate about supporting local craftspeople and being connected to the individuals creating the pieces for her designs, encouraging handmade in the Seattle area and in the United States.
Weihs resides in Kirkland, WA with her husband, son and daughter. They have been remodeling their 1960’s home together one room at a time. When not designing in her studio, Weihs can be found cooking, entertaining, and gardening.
