Lady Yum Macarons & Mischief to open soon in Downtown Kirkland

Transient

Strollers along downtown Kirkland's Lake Street will soon see a new shop called Lady Yum opening next door to Zoka Coffee (Lake Street and Central Way). The little storefront will soon be the home of delicious French macarons... and mischief.

Lady Yum is the collaboration of Megan Gordon and Shan S. Foisy. The ladies started a Kickstarter campaign to raise $25,000 and blew that away with 333 backers funding over $37,000. Customers have raved about their cookies. Their branding and marketing efforts have been top notch and professional.

It was in early 2014 that Megan realized her end vision: She was set on opening a storefront and becoming the best Macaron maker around - or anywhere for that matter. She again met with Shan, to refine the branding and packaging needs, but something bigger took place over Bloody Mary’s that day. A natural partnership blossomed, one full of creativity and balance. Megan runs operations, baking and personnel while Shan handles design, sales and marketing.

We look forward to watching their vision blossom and grow.

Welcome them to Kirkland, Lady Yum!

Kirkland could use a little mischief.

Maybe that's what the liquor license application is for. :-)
