A reader reminded us that Kirkland has a reputation as a good baseball town and on Wednesday night (4/16) at 7 o'clock on Lee Johnson Field at Peter Kirk Park in downtown Lake Washington will play Juanita in a KingCo 3A-2A high-school baseball game. The teams will play again on Friday, May 2.
Make the time to enjoy this free baseball game between the two rival Kirkland schools. The concession food is good and the caliber of baseball might surprise you. The atmosphere for these rival games is fun and there is usually a good turnout of fans for both schools. (This is LW's second and final season as a 2A school and the Kangs might go far in state playoffs; things don't look so good for 3A Juanita).
