Kirkland’s Free Sustainability Education Series Begins April 17

Are you interested in learning about how your soil influences your garden or how our rainfall and daily actions influence our watershed? Have you ever wanted to tour a recycling center and see what happens to your recyclables? Then the 3rd annual Kirkland Sustainability Education Series offers you these opportunities and more. This free four-part series aims to broaden what Kirkland residents already know about sustainability through a variety of classes, tours and hands-on workshops. ·         Family Movie Night: Sound and Vision: April 17, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

·         The What and Where of Recycling: April 24, 6:30 to 8 p.m.

·         Design Four Seasons of Delicious and Sustainable Veggie Production: May 1, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

·         Backyard Composting 101: May 8, 6:30 to 8 p.m.
