Alanya Cafe opens in downtown Kirkland

Alanya Cafe just opened at the corner of Lake Street and Kirkland Ave. offering breakfast, sandwiches, soups and salads made fresh and healthy by Eylem and Ozcan Saribas. The couple met in Istanbul and then moved to the Turkish beach resort of Alanya, on the Mediterranean. They named their Turkish cafe after this town.

Eylem, with seven years experience as a chef at Microsoft, brings her talents to this corner cafe. We tried the baklava and turkish coffee. Very nice.

Prices for lunch range from $6 - $7 for a sandwich, $7 - $8.25 for a salad and soup of the day is $3.50. Breakfast is also served and there is a selection of sweets and drinks as well.
