KIRO recently did a wonderful story about Bridle Trail’s own Janet Miller, the Director of Orchestra at Rose Hill Junior High, and one of her newest and most talented students. Janet is also the Director of Choir at Rose Hill Junior High and teaches Orchestra to Ben Franklin, Rose Hill, Mark Twain and Ben Rush elementaries.
Turn south off busy Northeast 85th in Kirkland at 122nd and drive up the hill and back into time. First journey into the postwar period when the ramblers and split-level homes first started sprouting on large suburban lots.
Then drive a bit farther south and back to when the Eastside was mostly rural with plenty of open land for horses.
The Bridle Trails Winter Trail Running Festival got some national press this week with a mention in Men’s Journal. “Your Perfect Weekend: January 9-11“, written by Katie Rogers, gives readers of the men’s health and lifestyle magazine a short list of outdoor activities taking place around the country this week and Kirkland is included.
