Guest Commentary | No Soliciting signs being ignored in the Highlands

A solicitor from a company called EcoFirst Pest Control (http://www.ecofirstpestcontrol.com) has been bothering folks in the Highlands. He ignores “No Soliciting” signs, and has been acting very rudely.
EcoFirst Pest Control company does not have a City of Kirkland business license or solicitor license (they must have both). The police say to call 911 if a solicitor cannot provide proper company identification, [...]

KIRO | Woman, Child Hit By Car In Kirkland Crosswalk

KIROTV is reporting that a woman and child were hit by a car in a crosswalk on Northeast 112th Street in Kirkland yesterday afternoon.
Bystanders at the scene were able to remove a child who was pinned underneath the car and then transport the two victims to the hospital along with the driver according to the report.

KING5 | Goats found dead along Denny Creek in Finn Hill

KING5 is reporting that Tamera Kesterson of Finn Hill, found two of her goats dead on her property which straddles Denny Creek. House fire on 70th Pl and 130th NE reported by eyewitness Wednesday night (video)

At approximately 9:30 PM on Wednesday evening, a house fire broke out in the vicinity of 70th and 130th NE in Kirkland.
Thank you to Councilmember Bob Sternoff for sending us these photos.
Firefighters are battling a fire that spread from a two-story home to surrounding evergreen trees.
Smoke from the blaze could be seen for miles around.
