At its March 2 meeting, the Kirkland City Council unanimously approved the temporary expansion of membership to its Planning Commission, Park Board, Human Services Advisory Committee by two seats and the Library Board by one seat. It seems that parking is so scarce in parts of Totem Lake that people have resorted to parking along side of the railroad tracks in what appears to be the rail right of way. These photos show cars parked along the unused BNSF railroad tracks north of NE 124th next to the Dodge Chrysler Jeep dealership.
