Adventurous Menu in a Casually Elegant Outdoor Setting

This month, the culinary team from Trellis announced the opening of their second dining destination, The Front Porch at the Heathman.  Located at the Heathman Hotel in Kirkland, The Front Porch will focus on small plates, designed to satisfy even the most adventurous palate.  Completely outdoors, the Front Porch at the Heathman radiates a sidewalk café ambiance. Comfortable couches, overstuffed chairs, lush foliage and live weekend music featuring a solo Spanish guitar player, all solidify The Front Porch at the Heathman, as Kirkland’s most unique outdoor dining experience.  The Front Porch at the Heathman is located at 220 Kirkland Avenue. Hours are 4pm to close, seven days a week.

Executive Chef, Brian Scheehser, promises something special for bold foodies looking for a truly unique culinary experience. “We wanted to offer items that are genuinely unique and not often seen on menus in a casually elegant setting,” says Scheehser.  “The team of culinary artists at Trellis hope to showcase truly exclusive offerings alongside several tried and true favorites.”  As with Trellis, menu items from The Front Porch will include offerings from Chef Scheehser’s 5-acre farm.

About Trellis

Trellis, the 90-seat restaurant and bar located in the Heathman Hotel Kirkland, features wine country-style cuisine under the direction of executive chef Brian Scheehser.  Trellis features a richly appointed environment that is comfortable and warm with food and drink that celebrates small scale, artisan products at the height of their seasonal quality.  Trellis’ rustic, farm-fresh, robust menu characterizes wine country restaurants and evolves with the seasons, always using the best of the current harvest as a foundation for its farm to table philosophy. Much of the produce on the menu is grown in Scheehser’s local three-acre garden at the South 47 farm in Woodinville, Wash.  A wine list with over 200 selections features the best that California, Washington and Oregon vintners have to offer.  Heated outdoor seating is available, weather dependent.
