Yarrow Bay Grill to close; bin vivant to occupy space

After nearly 20 years as Carillon Point’s fine dining standard, the Yarrow Bay Grill closes April 30. The top floor lake-front space will not remain empty for long. The exciting new bin vivant will be moving upstairs in late June or July from its current location at the Woodmark Hotel. Rumor has it the eight month old bin vivant will take the name “bin on the lake” in the new location.
From ybgrill.com:
Yarrow Bay Grill will be raising a glass to 20 years of successful business and community giving while at the same time bidding the Eastside a fond farewell. The award-winning Carillon Point restaurant’s lease is up and the ownership group has decided not to renew. However, like all great dining icons, they are celebrating two decades of wonderful memories by offering anniversary specials and inviting guests to join in by raising a toast, until the doors close.
Bin vivant will remain open for business with no down-time during the move upstairs to the more visible location.
According the The Seattle Times, the more casual dining option below bin’s new location, the Beach Cafe at the Point (formerly the Yarrow Bay Beach Cafe) will undergo renovations as well.
“The cafe (whose longtime chef-exec Cameon Orel left last year to run the Fall City Roadhouse) will get a minor makeover during the coming months, to include expanded seating in a new fireside lounge and a patio extended to twice its size. Breakfast is in the offing as well. The cosmetic work begins mid-April and is expected to be completed by June.”
