Weathering the Storm: Small Business Survival Tools

A panel discussion aimed at helping small business owners survive during difficult economic times is being held at the Heathman Hotel on March 31, 2009 from 7:30 am to 10:30 am. The discussion is called, Weathering the Storm: Small Business Survival Tools and it will include speakers and panelists from area businesses and local government.

Nancy Porzio, Seattle District SBA Director will provide information about the stimulus package and opportunities for small businesses.

Ellen Miller-Wolfe, Economic Development Manager, City of Kirkland, will talk about what the City is doing to support and grow businesses.

TOPICS OF DISCUSSION:

  • Can We Borrow $ Yet?  Learn about accessing credit in these tough economic times from a panel of lenders.
  • Staying Afloat!  A panel of small business owners will provide tips and inspiration to navigate these troubled economic waters.
  • Learn more about the federal stimulus package and the City of Kirkland’s small business development initiatives.
