Dick Beazell to Retire from the Kirkland Downtown Association

This letter was sent out to friends in honor of Dick Beazell:
So, our beloved Kirkland Icon, Mr. Dick Beazell has decided to give retirement one more try (they say 3rd time is the charm??) and he’ll be rolling out of town and the Kirkland Downtown Association on the weekend of December 12th.
But NOT without sending him off with a GREAT BIG PARTY! Please meet us at Georges from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Friday, December 12th to reminisce about his 20 years at the Pelican’s Wharf, his 18 years on the Chamber Board and his last 4 years as the Kirkland Downtown Association Executive Director.
This is a no-host party; you are encouraged to support Georges by buying lots of drinks and appys from their Happy Hour menu. Please wear your MOST FESTIVE Hawaiian Shirt in his honor. Also, please write a note or a letter to Dick and bring it as well – we will have a box for him there. We will all put our best wishes and stories in it so he can open it up and read it by the fire at his new home in Big Bear California!
Dick made this decision rather rapidly, as we all know, however it had been coming for quite some time. Long story short, he’s bought a house about 2 blocks away from his brother in Big Bear, and over the Thanksgiving Holiday his brother basically told him it’s time to come back to his family in California. So being the good little brother, Dick felt he had to obey. We’ll all miss him dearly!
