This message is being forwarded from the Washington State Department of Transportation 520 Project:
Eastside Corridor Constructors and the Washington State Department of Transportation thank you for your patience and help in reducing backups during the February 24-27 weekend closure of SR 520. The next planned State Route 520 weekend construction closure is this coming weekend. Crews will close all lanes and ramps at 11 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, from Montlake Boulevard in Seattle across the floating bridge to I-405 in Bellevue. All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. Monday, Feb. 27. Crews have a big task ahead: Installing 40 huge concrete girders at two overpasses. Thirty are planned at 84th Avenue Northeast and another 10 at Bellevue Way Northeast.
As part of the work, crews also will completely close Bellevue Way Northeast between Northeast 32nd Place and Northup Way 11 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, and reopen by 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25. You can see construction progress from our eye in the sky photos on Flickr and check out our construction cameras in the work zone.
