The Lodge in Kirkland featuring 55 draft beers, to open this spring

What is The Lodge? In case you haven't noticed, signs are up in downtown announcing a new sports bar and grill called The Lodge. To be located on Lake Street next door to Qdoba, The Lodge will feature 55 beers on draft, a cozy lodge-like atmosphere and great sports viewing. We were curious what was up and after speaking with a person familiar with the situation, my wife Kate and I decided to do some recon and eat dinner at the Mukilteo Lodge (ML). Upon entering ML, a local can't help but feel at home. The atmosphere is much like a ski lodge: large cedar beams, slate floors, sports memorabilia and plenty of large televisions. The menu was quite extensive and tasty too. Of course we had to wash dinner down with a trip through their beer selection, which was impressive.

I bit into a very large and juicy Husky Burger (they have one named after each of the Pac-12 teams) and Kate enjoyed her oriental chicken salad. And for the record, the Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout and Spaten were nice to find on tap and tasty too.

A conversation with staff revealed that the Kirkland Lodge will be a bit smaller and offer a smaller selection of dining options than ML. According to staff, the company hopes to open in late April.
