Camping out for Qdoba - students spend the night in line for 1 year of meals

As a part of Qdoba Mexican Grill's celebration of their new restaurant in downtown Kirkland, over the weekend a special offer was made: the first 15 customers to enter would receive one year worth of fee meals. As one might expect, cash-strapped students were the majority of those who camped out overnight on the sidewalks of downtown Kirkland to be first in line when Qdoba opened its doors.

Heather Fried, a student at Northwest University in Kirkland, and her friend Vimal Shenoy camped on the sidewalk in front of Qdoba for over 14 hours. "I heard about it from a friend of mine in Zoka," said Fried. "That's 52 meals worth $450. I'm a starving student. Of course I'm going to be here!"
