Finn Hill Residents are Invited to Provide Input on Creation of a New Neighborhood Association

The Finn Hill Neighborhood Organizing Committee and the Denny Creek Neighborhood Alliance (DCNA) are hosting an upcoming public meeting for all Finn Hill residents on Wednesday, September 7th at 7:00 PM at St. John Vianney Church. The focus of the meeting will be to review a proposal for the formation of the Finn Hill neighborhood association, which is proposed to be named the Finn Hill Neighborhood Alliance. The draft bylaws for the organization will be available to residents at the meeting for review and comment. The bylaws have been crafted by Finn Hill residents who are interested in forming a neighborhood association and have been prepared in consultation with representatives of the DCNA.

At the previous neighborhood meeting in June, neighbors strongly supported working with DCNA to become the neighborhood association for the Finn Hill neighborhood. Since that meeting, a handful of neighborhood group leaders edand DCNA board members have been working hard to develop a draft set of bylaws for the organization and identify the steps that need to take place for DCNA to be expanded to become the Finn Hill Neighborhood Alliance. Finn Hill residents are encouraged to attend the meeting to provide comments on the draft bylaws and learn more about the City’s neighborhood services.
