Juanita Bay Park is an excellent place for viewing wildlife.
If you love our parks, here’s a chance to help give a little back to the community by restoring the health of Juanita Bay Park. Nona Ganz and her cadre of Juanita Bay Park volunteers has invited Kudos Kirkland to join forces with them to weed around native vegetation at the park. Juanita Bay Park is arguably Kirkland’s most beloved. Volunteers of all ages are welcome to join us at Juantia Bay Park on Thursday, September 1st from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
I would love to have everyone who would like to work that day from 8:00-10:00, come to the park! We normally meet on Thursdays at noon and work till 2:00, but we have changed next week’s event to the time that you and your group normally meet in hopes that some of them will come.
We will weed around the native vegetation that was planted last year. Depending on how many people come, some may weed up along the causeway, some make work in the area above the bathroom and others could work down near the first boardwalk. I have tools (tillers and shovels) for about 15 people. If people can bring gloves, good……if not, I can provide them.

Join us! Have some fun, give a little back to the community and in the process make some new friends. We look forward to seeing you there. All are welcome.
