UPDATED “3rd Annual Grape Stomp” Wine Tasting & Food Pairing at Marina Park Oct. 6th

UPDATED

The 3rd annual Grape Stomp competition will be held at Marina Park on September 15th from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The event will feature wine tasting, food pairing and the best seats in the house to watch the competition between grape stomping teams. This event is the primary fund raiser for the Kirkland Wednesday Market in Marina Park (each Wednesday 2-7pm). Tickets are $25 and are available at the Wednesday Market. More information will soon be available at www.kirklandwednesdaymarket.org for details.

Interested in competing in the Grape Stomp? Teams consist of 3 stompers who compete to squeeze the most juice from a barrel of grapes using only their feet. The winning team not only will have their team name engraved on a prestigious trophy, they will have bragging rights for the entire year. It is a fun event with laughs (and juice) all around.

I was thinking about heading to the gym a little more often and shakeing off a few of these extra pounds, but now i think i will hold off. I actually think i am at a great “stompping weight” and look forward to crushing some grapes…. and the competition!

    Jeff,
I agree with your strategy and I think with you on the roster, Team Kirkland Views has a good chance of taking the trophy for the Grape Stomp this year.

Work out and plan all you like – The Friends of the Library of Kirkland (FOLK) sponsored by the Grape Choice are planning on keeping the title and trophy for another year. Extra points for the best outfits???

    Game on!
Great idea, Penny. Last year the MarIlyn Monroes were a crack up. Style points will make the Grape Stomp even more fun.

We’re all over this and take on Penny’s challenge!!

So the posters are coming down and there is no wine tasting and food pairing to be had on Sept 15th. I would like to know who is planning to come watch the Grape Stomping competition without the added incentive of food and wine. This is very sad.
