Chuck Morgan remembered at Marsh Park (photos & video)

Friends of the late Chuck Morgan dedicated a park bench in his honor at Marsh Park on Saturday, July 31, 2010. Stories and laughs were shared as old friends gathered to raise a glass in a toast to one of Kirkland’s most influential citizens.

Jeff Heinz has shared his photos of this event with us below. You can view more of his work at http://www.jeffheinz.com/event-photos/

    Rob,
What a beautiful tribute to a beautiful, unusual man who was a friend to everyone in Kirkland. He left a legacy not to be forgotten. Always remember, “Get involved”.

Rob, Very nice video of the Dedication! It was great to be there to see and hear from the people that loved Chuck, and that i am sure, Chuck loved back!

Thanks everyone, for continuing to make such a big fuss over my grandpa. I'm sure it's EXACTLY what he would have wanted. ;-)

I caught my first fish with grandpa off the end of the dock of Marsh Park. We used to feed the ducks there, too. (Mostly, I'd just feed them leftover peanut butter/mayo/jello sandwiches that grandpa used to make for us boys.)

The bench looks great. I look forward to seeing it in person!

We appreciate Dad's friends putting the bench in at Marsh Park in his honor. Our family sends greetings to Kirkland. It was a great community to grow up in and we will always hold it dear in our hearts.

We remember Brian enjoying the park. There was always the peanut butter and pickle sandwich to bring us a smile from having a picnic at Marsh Park with Grandpa Chuck.
