The August 17 Primary Election is filled with a wide selection of candidates running for the senate, state legislature and judiciary. No fewer than fifteen candidates are running for the US Senate. The cast of characters seeking the federal office include Republicans such as Dino Rossi and Clint Didier, Mohammad H. Said of the Centrist Party and several Democrats. Patty Murray is being challenged from within her party by fellow democrats including Goodspaceguy and Mike The Mover. Colorful barely describes this race.

Representative Jay Inslee finds himself challenged by two Republicans and one Independent for his seat representing the people of Washington State in US Congressional District 1.

Also on the ballot are several competitions for state legislature and the Judiciary.

The primary will winnow the field down to two candidates who will face off in the general election on November 2nd.

James Watkins will be at The Game Neighborhood Grill and Bar on 8/24/10 for a meet and greet at 9:30 am. Stop by and meet our next congressman. I have spent several hours with James, he is a strait talker and I’m sure everyone who wants a working federal government will take the time to come by and meet him.
