$28K-$90K/year. Out of a budget of $Millions. Yawn. Probably lost in the rounding on the City's books.
And we have no idea for what purpose the CoK hired the two lobbyists, much less if it was for "bigger government". Maybe they hired them to push for "smaller government", or "more Saturdays every week"? Did the EFF bother to ask, or is it easier to convict by insinuation and assumption? Of course, if they didn't engage with Olympia and some State law or regulation came down on detrimentally on Kirkland's residents, there'd be a hue a cry about "why didn't anyone lobby Olympia?"
An axe to grind, to be sure, if you have that sort of time on your hands...

I certainly do not want my tax dollars to pay for lobbyists, whether I agree with them or not.

Rob,

Preston Mui has documentary evidence on 68 agencies and cities. So-called "detractors of EFF" have nothing, cite nothing, offer nothing but unsupported insinuation, and they do so anonymously. How about letting your readers know who the so-called "detractors" are and what the source of their information is so that your readers can make up their own minds.

Scott St. Clair
Evergreen Freedom Foundation
