A Message from Kirkland City Manager Kurt Triplett to Downtown Employers

July 15, 2010

A message from Kirkland City Manager, Kurt Triplett:

Dear Downtown Employer,

Many downtown businesses were recently notified by the City of Kirkland of new quarterly reporting requirements for employee vehicle registrations as part of the City’s Park Smart Program.  We understand your concerns about additional administrative burdens this may have imposed.  Please disregard the notice regarding the new requirements. The original program requirements remain in effect.

We will be evaluating whether or not changes to the existing program are warranted.  If future changes are contemplated, we will work closely with the business community prior to any action.

We appreciate the concerns expressed by several businesses and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.  Please contact Tami White, Kirkland Public Works at 425-587-3871 or su.aw.dnalkrik.icnull@etihwt or Gloria Martin, Business Licensing, at 425-587-3140 or su.aw.dnalkrik.icnull@nitramg should you have further questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Kurt Triplett, City Manager

City of Kirkland
