Jimmy John’s to open next to Sur La Table
For those of us longing for more choices when it comes to deli sandwiches in downtown Kirkland, perhaps this will be the ticket. Jimmy John’s is an irreverent deli sandwich franchise which doesn’t take itself too seriously. One look at the signage in their store and you can see that a sense of humor is applied liberally to everything they do. Fast, made-to-order sandwiches are their specialty (and we recommend adding the hot peppers) and best of all, they deliver. You can order online here… once they open.

Jimmy John’s will be located on the corner of Central Way and First Street.

Bluetooth

Bluetooth Special Interest Group
The Bluetooth Special Interest Group, Inc. (SIG) has expanded its presence in North America, moving its headquarters from Bellevue to Kirkland, just south of Carillon Point. The move gives the industry leading trade organization over 45% more space in which to run operations for the creation and promotion of Bluetooth wireless technology.

“This office move is the physical representation of the very hard and productive work we have undertaken, and all we have accomplished in the introductions of two new versions of the Specification over the past year,” said Michael Foley, Ph.D., executive director of the Bluetooth SIG.

Added Foley: “In our new office space, we have a larger, state-of-the-art lab for device testing and demonstration. We invite all of the Bluetooth SIG members to visit the lab as they work to design and manufacture new Bluetooth devices utilizing both the Bluetooth low energy and high speed specifications.”

The Bluetooth SIG staff previously located in Bellevue will now office in Kirkland. Reasons for choosing Kirkland include location, amenities promoting a healthy lifestyle within a new building, competitive market pricing, and a larger space that allows for future growth.

The Bluetooth SIG maintains its global presence, including offices in Hong Kong, Beijing, China, Seoul, Korea, Minato-Ku, Tokyo, Taiwan and Malmo, Sweden.
