Transit Center Construction starts November 16, southbound 3rd Street to Close

City of Kirkland Public Works Construction Update Notice: Downtown Kirkland Transit Center

What: Construction is ready to begin on the Kirkland Transit Center project in downtown Kirkland.  Bayley Construction has been selected as the contractor for the project and URS Corp will provide construction management services.

What to expect:  Bayley Construction has mobilized on site and a portion of Park Lane has closed to accommodate construction field offices and for construction staging space.  3rd Street between Kirkland Avenue and Central Way will close to southbound traffic on November 16.  One northbound lane on 3rd Street will remain open to vehicles throughout construction.  Bus service was relocated to stops on Central Way and 6th Street in September.
