Construction Begins on the New Kirkland Transit Center; Library to reopen Dec. 5

Kirkland Transit Center
Transit Center Construction Set to Start, 3rd Street to Close.
Construction is ready to begin on the Kirkland Transit Center project in downtown Kirkland. Bayley Construction has been selected as the contractor for the project and URS Corp will provide construction management services.
Bayley Construction has mobilized on site and a portion of Park Ave has closed to accommodate construction field offices and for construction staging space. 3rd Street between Kirkland Ave and Central Way will close to southbound traffic on November 16. One northbound lane on 3rd St. will remain open to vehicles throughout construction. Bus service was relocated to stops on Central Way and 6th St. in September.
