UPDATED Nov. 5 @4:45 PM

With 35.23% of registered voters counted, there is no change in the outcome of the election. Movement of less than 1% is seen across the board.

________

With 29.34% of registered voters counted, the leading candidates Joan McBride, Penny Sweet, Amy Walen and Doreen Marchione have expanded their leads in their races for the City Council. These four women occasionally campaigned together as they were largely supported by the same majority of Kirkland citizens. Likewise, three of the losing candidates campaigned together and were supported by a block of citizens as well.

The percentage increases over election night results were small in the four council races. Annexation experienced a similar increase in the YES margin. Prop. 1 gained a fractionally larger Yes vote (38.65%), but it will still likely be defeated.

These results will change, however large swings in vote leadership are not likely. King County results will be frequently updated until the final count is certified in 21 days.
