The Kirkland Downtown Association is hosting a “Fall Ball” event on October 11th on the Argosy MV Kirkland. Enjoy great food from Lake Street Catering, mix and mingle, bid on some fabulous auction items and dance the night away to cover-band Middleman Bob while cruising the lake! Semi-formal dress is recommended, so start planning your perfect outfit and buy your tickets before they sell out at www.KirklandDowntown.org Tickets are just $40 pp. You can also pick them up at the KDA office, The Grape Choice or Gunnar Nordstrom’s Gallery.

This important fundraiser will help support the beautiful downtown Kirkland flowerpots which are all so near and dear to our hearts, and the Kirkland Downtown Association that helps make them possible. The KDA works hard every year to raise funds to keep the flowers blooming and the pots maintained throughout the year. There are approximately 95 pots and 30 hanging baskets in the downtown core. Each pot costs about $250 in maintenance, but only a portion of this is covered by grants from the City of Kirkland. The KDA must make up the difference through their fundraising efforts.

Can’t make it to the Fall Ball? This year you can “own” your OWN pot for a $250 sponsorship! Bidding will take place on the evening of the cruise, however anyone can sponsor a pot for the 2008-2009 season. Stakes with your customized message and plaque will be displayed in you pot from late October through September next year. It’s a great way to promote your business, celebrate a milestone birthday or a special person. Call the KDA office at 425-893-8766 for more info.
