If you haven’t yet seen it, the City’s Summer Special Events Guide is available both in print and online. A glance at the calendar reveals that the 4th of July is just around the corner! This year’s theme for Kirkland’s celebrations is “Space, The Final Frontier” in Honor of the 50th Anniversary of NASA.

The scheduled events start at 10:00 AM on July 4th and include fun for the whole family with picnics, parades, ducks (Rotary Club Duck Dash), and of course, fireworks!

Celebrate Kirkland has sent a callout for volunteers to help out with this wonderful event. There is a great deal of setup work needed to make things run smoothly. If you are interested, please visit www.celebratekirkland.org for more information.

Please join us in volunteering to help with this event. It is a great way to give back to the community and to help celebrate our Independence Day. Thank you.

The July 4th celebration is one of the most heart-warming events of the year. It brings in people from all over so they can enjoy our quaint little downtown just like it was yesteryear. I can’t wait! Thanks to the volunteers who make it happen. My favorite part is the parade.
