In our on-going effort to promote Kirkland businesses, Kirkland Views would like to congratulate Holly Smith, chef and owner of Cafe Juanita, for winning the 2008 James Beard Foundation Award for Best Chef in the Northwest! The Seattle Times ran the story in this article on Monday.

For many years Cafe Juanita has been an outstanding place to dine for special occasions and romantic evenings, serving Northern Italian cuisine with a commitment to organics and sustainability. Off the beaten path a bit, Cafe Juanita is a hidden gem tucked away in an unassuming spot behind Juanita Village. The restaurant is one of the best around and each time we have visited, it has been a treat.

Kudos to Holly and for winning the award and thank you for being a delicious part of Kirkland.

You can find Cafe Juanita here on our map, and you can visit their website for more information.
