The KCC will have a special study session on the budget on Wednesday, May 7th at 6:00 PM. The recent reports have shown a decrease in the projected revenues for the city. As a result, the Council will need to consider cutting spending in City Hall or increase taxes and/fees on residents and businesses.

The agenda for the evening:

2009-2010 Budget Issues

  1. Financial Trends and Expenditure Tools
  2. Public Education and Participation Strategies Regarding City Finances

Further information is available at the City of Kirkland website. Study sessions are open to the public and typically take place in the Peter Kirk Room at City Hall.
